EMDR is a special technique for treating anxiety by getting at the root cause; trauma. It stimulates both sides of your brain to engage the neural networks associated with painful memories. This “reprocesses” the memory and eliminates the disturbance it causes. After EMDR, people feel like they’ve been “Jedi mind-tricked” because the memory is still there, but the pain or disturbance isn’t.

This process also addresses the negative core beliefs and fears associated with the traumatic event. It directly heals the brain structures involved in thought, emotion, and physical reactions.

Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Techniques

These body-based techniques address symptoms of feeling numb and detached from your body, people, and surroundings.

Rooted in neuroscience like EMDR, these techniques strengthen the structures in the brain responsible for the mind-body connection.

These techniques give you the ability to sense oncoming panic and physiologically control it before it becomes an attack.
